Due to the resources we have, Lucy and myself would not be able to recreate trailers such as that of James Bond or Harry Potter. Due to health and safety reasons, we would be unable to do stunts such as jumping off a bridge or a massive fight scene. Similarly, our software is more limited when it comes to special effects. This is another reason social realism would be a suitable genre to follow, as social realism films tend to be more realistic.
A more practical trailer we could try and recreate is that of This is England. It is set in a council estate, and we both live near one at least. This enables us to use a location that is often used in this genre of film. Another practical trailer we could have used if we had followed the horror genre is Paranormal Activity. It uses simple shot types, plain fonts and is, in general, fairly simplistic.
An impractical trailer for us to try and recreate would be that of Attack the Block. This is due to the extensive special effects it uses such as explosions in the opening scene, the prosthetics it uses, dangerous props such as fireworks and other various things at the producer's disposal that we would not have access to.
